I love flowers. I love their texture, their colour, and the way they can add so much to your home, office, or wedding. Most brides will spend one of the largest parts of their budget on flowers. From monochromatic bouquets, to vibrant pops of colour, flowers help to tell your story and show your personality.
So today’s Wedding Wednesday post is dedicated to florals, and the amazing artists I have had the privilege to work with.
First up is a shoot I did with Becky from Just For You Photography last summer. I also love doing creative shoots with different photographers, but this one had me over the moon. Becky wanted to show the new trend for Bohemian weddings, but with a soft, romantic edge to it. I had a vintage lace back piece that was just waiting to be turned into a dress. Put that together with the stunning florals of Akiko Floral, hair and makeup by Jack’d Up Makeup, a field of wildflowers, and the result was magic.

The florals in this next shoot were done by Cory Christopher, a design genius. I have been able to work with Cory a lot over the last few years, and I am always amazed and excited at his new ideas. For this particular shoot, Cory used Scrabble tiles and pages from books to add a personal touch to the florals. I particularly love the paper flower ring (that’s one of my bridal belts featured behind it).
This last wedding is to me the perfect Prairie Vintage wedding. The flowers by Jewels & Rays had this beautiful wildflower feel…as if you had just gone and gathered flowers like Dr. Quinn (big Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman fan!) before her wedding. And yes, that is a fresh floral belt on the peach bridesmaid dress. This was my first time shooting with Starseed Photography, and I was so excited to work with Sarah and all the other vendors. The results were breathtaking. Even the September sun cooperated and gave us this dreamy golden glow.
